The Highlands Fire Department currently consist of 71 members. The department is considered a combination department as it utilizes both paid and volunteer personnel. Our experienced Command Staff consist of nine positions that run our daily operations and oversee our members.

The Highlands Fire Department's calls are dispatched from the East Harris County Emergency Communications Center. The center is in operation 24 hours a day seven days a week including holidays taking emergency calls from the community. Remember, if you have an emergency Call 911.
