Fallen Highlands Firefighters

Brandon McCartney, 25, of Houston, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 in Houston. He was born March 8, 1990 in Baytown. Brandon was former longtime resident of Baytown and a 2008 graduate of Ross Sterling High School. He was a fireman that started his career with the Highlands Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 16 and served us for nine (9) years. He was with the Houston Fire Department from 2013 to October of this year when he joined the department at the Port of Houston and also worked with the Jacinto City Fire Department. At 18 Brandon became a Master Mason at Old River Lodge #1442 in Mont Belview, Tx. Brandon was loved by many. Truly an angel here on earth who touched your heart with his witty personality, funny humor and infectious smile. May we try to find comfort knowing he is now our angel above watching over us all.
