Station 27 Apparatus

Engine 27


Engine 27 is a 2014 Spartan Pumper equipped with a 1500 gpm pump for full fire suppression as well as hazmat, rescue and EMS support. Engine 27 carries a set of TNT Rescue tools along with BLS supplies and an AED. Engine 27 carries 1000 gallons of water and is equipped with a remote light tower for improved on-scene lighting capabilities. Engine 27 can carry a crew of six firefighters.


Tanker 27


Tanker 27 is a 2010 Pierce Contender apparatus equipped with a 1250 gpm pump. Tanker 27 carries 1890 gallons of water. It is capable of full fire suppression and carries a crew of six. Tanker 27 is a vital apparatus as much of our district is in rural area with limited water supply.


Brush 17


Brush-17 is designed for accessing fires in difficult terrain, Brush-17 is a 4X4 2005 Chevrolet chassis and is department built. Crew of four.


Command Staff Apparatus

District 7


District 7 is the designated unit number for the Highlands Fire Department Chief. District 7 is also the designated unit number for the Fire Chief Apparatus. D-7 is a 2016 4 door Ford Expedition SUV and is equipped with the necessary communications equipment for emergency response. D-7 serves as a command vehicle.

District 70


District 70 is the designated unit number for the Highlands Fire Department Assistant Chief. District 70 is also the designated unit number for the Assistant Chief Apparatus. D-70 is a 2013 Dodge 1500 4 door and is equipped with the necessary communications equipment for emergency response. D-70 serves as a command vehicle.


EMS Duty Vehicle


EMS duty vehicle is the designated unit for the Highlands Fire Department EMS . EMS duty vehicle is also the designated unit for additional manpower on EMS calls. EMS duty vehicle is a 2010 4 door Dodge Charger and is equipped with the necessary communications equipment for emergency response. EMS duty vehicle also serves as a command vehicle for mass causality incidents.
